New Westgate:

detailed designs

Reserved Matters Submitted

Westgate Oxford Alliance have submitted the detailed design proposals (Reserved Matters) to Oxford City Council to redevelop the Westgate Centre to create a new retail and leisure destination in Oxford City Centre’s West.

Whilst the principle of development and access was agreed by the resolution to grant Outline Planning Permission by Oxford City Council’s West Area Planning Committee in March 2014, the Reserved Matters submission deals with the detailed aspects of the scheme which include appearance, landscaping, layout and scale.

The detailed design proposals have been informed following extensive consultation with the local community, the Oxford Design Review Panel and officers at Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council and interest groups.

The Reserved Matters is expected to be determined by Oxford City Council later this year.
